Professional artificial intelligence workstations usually require expensive server grade platforms. System76 took a different route. The machine uses an AM5 motherboard that splits PCIe bandwidth into x8 and x8 channels. This setup allows users to install 2 full size expansion cards while avoiding the high costs of specialized enterprise sockets. Builders can scale graphics power all the way up to 2 NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell 6000 GPUs for heavy compute jobs.

The handcrafted enclosure measures 17.31 by 9.96 by 15.12 inches, providing enough internal volume for substantial storage arrays. Configurations support up to 28TB of space across multiple solid state and mechanical drives. External connectivity is equally flexible. The chassis includes 4 USB 10Gbps ports split evenly across 2 Type A and 2 Type C connections, paired with 2 separate 5GbE RJ45 ethernet ports, Wi Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The entry configuration costs $3,299 and includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor, an NVIDIA RTX A400 graphics card, 64GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB PCIe Gen5 SSD. Buyers can select either Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS or standard Ubuntu during checkout. System76 ships the workstation with machine learning libraries and display drivers already configured, allowing developers to start training models immediately.
