Xiaomi has expanded its Apple compatibility features with the launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max. The flagship phone now links directly to the Apple Watch for fitness tracking, notifications, and incoming call alerts. This update makes the device one of the few Android phones capable of talking directly to Apple wearable hardware.
Xiaomi brand president Lu Weibing announced the feature set during the autumn product launch. The software allows users to keep their existing wearable hardware without losing functionality. You can tap an iPhone to share photos or video clips quickly. You can also sync cloud photo libraries and share messages across devices. The biggest draw is the Apple Watch connection. Health metrics, workout stats, and daily call alerts flow straight between the watch and the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
The interoperability push extends into desktop and tablet hardware through HyperOS 3 and version 2.1.0 of the Xiaomi connectivity tool. On a Mac, the system lets you open multiple phone apps in resizable windows with support for one click full screen mode. You do not need to pick up your phone to unlock it either. Touching the Mac Touch ID sensor unlocks the phone screen mirror instantly. On an iPad, the desktop interface integrates with standard multitasking gestures and supports Face ID authentication.
This cross platform strategy started with earlier versions of HyperConnect and has grown into a major selling point. Instead of forcing buyers to replace all their tech at once, Xiaomi wants to make switching to Android painless. Allowing Apple accessories to work properly removes a massive barrier for prospective buyers.
