AMD has released the Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1 WHQL graphics driver, bringing official support for FSR 4.1 upscaling to older hardware. The software package adds day one optimizations for 3 major titles including Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. The update also delivers targeted performance fixes while acknowledging a substantial list of unresolved compatibility issues across several Radeon series.
AMD expands FSR 4.1 upscaling beyond newest chips down to Radeon RX 6000 series desktop graphics cards. Support also extends to mobile platforms powered by Ryzen AI Max 300 and 400 series processors, along with Ryzen AI 9 300 and 400 series silicon. Alongside upscaling additions, the release integrates driver support for 3 new PC titles: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, Star Wars Galactic Racer, and Final Fantasy Resonance. A resolved bug eliminates stuttering when playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 on Radeon RX 6000 series cards and newer hardware.
AMD tracks several active bugs affecting stability across modern graphics setups. Players on Radeon RX 7000 cards might experience intermittent crashes or driver timeouts in Assassins Creed Black Flag Remake and Valor Mortis. The Radeon RX 7600 faces random system shutdowns in Valor Mortis, while Ryzen AI MAX PRO 400 chips suffer system shutdowns in Final Fantasy Resonance and launch to a black screen in Fallout 76. Radeon RX 5000 users experiencing driver timeouts in War Thunder are advised to roll back to the 26.9.1 release.
High end Radeon RX 9000 cards show specific application hangs in Death Stranding 2 On the Beach when running FSR, which AMD recommends disabling until patched. In Cyberpunk 2077, running secondary screen video playback while combining FSR Super Resolution, Radeon Anti Lag, and frame generation triggers driver timeouts unless in game frame generation is turned off. Alt tabbing during games using FSR frame generation on RX 9000 cards can trigger system hangs, which users can bypass by enabling vertical sync. AMD also notes that the Adrenalin performance overlay conflicts with third party overlays like Xbox Game Bar, and Windows 10 installations might disable AMD Smart Access Memory.
