YouTube channel zWORMz Gaming tested the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor across 17 modern titles to measure the limits of its integrated Radeon 890M graphics. Using the VZMORE AX9 Max mini PC running at 65W, the benchmark reveals that the chip handles 1080p gaming if players accept low presets and upscaling. But demanding titles still require frame generation tools to deliver smooth frame rates.
The VZMORE AX9 Max provides the hardware foundation for the benchmarks. It pairs the 12 core and 24 thread AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with 32GB of DDR5 5600 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid state drive. The tester assigned 8GB of system memory to the Radeon 890M integrated graphics and ran the system at its maximum 65W power profile. An external capture card recorded the gameplay footage to avoid penalizing in game performance during testing.
Competitive shooters deliver the highest frame rates on the integrated silicon. Fortnite reached between 140 and 180 fps in performance mode with epic view distance. Counter Strike 2 averaged 138 fps on low settings, while Apex Legends produced 128 fps with occasional dips to 50 fps during heavy combat. Legacy titles also hold up well, with GTA 5 exceeding 70 fps on very high settings and DOTA 2 holding an average of 70 fps on medium presets.
Heavier modern releases depend heavily on FSR quality presets and frame generation to stay playable. Arc Raiders hit 101 fps and Cyberpunk 2077 reached 85 fps on low settings once frame generation was enabled. Ghost of Tsushima and the campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 both stabilized at 61 fps on low settings with FSR. The Witcher 3 Remastered averaged 56 fps on medium settings, while Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 held 53 fps on low.
Several demanding releases struggled to reach 60 fps. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered averaged 49 fps, Forza Horizon 6 reached 46 fps, and Spider Man Remastered hit 46 fps on medium presets. Gears of War E Day averaged 42 fps, while Hogwarts Legacy averaged 51 fps on medium settings but suffered from frequent stuttering. While the Radeon 890M can boot current releases at 1080p, maintaining smooth gameplay requires aggressive upscaling and lower visual quality.
