ARC Raiders has released its Frozen Trail update, introducing the Pendola Pass map alongside a major overhaul to player skill progression. The release adds new enemy variants and replaces the previous deck system with a 60 level Reward Pass. The update is live for all players.
The update introduces the Pendola Pass territory, which features shifting loot values across raids while maintaining consistent resource categories. Players face 3 new enemy types named Bully, Skulker, and Hydra. Weapon options expand with the Bantam hand cannon and the Stiletto, alongside upgraded Amplified weapons. To balance combat, the developer increased the rarity of the Anvil from Green to Blue and removed its tech mod slot, while explosive munitions deal 50% more damage to heavy armor plates and 30% less damage to weak points.
The skill tree features an altered layout to give players clearer build choices. Middle branch nodes now present a binary choice between 2 distinct abilities, while the final branch positions allow players to pick 2 options out of 3. The studio also retired the legacy Cred currency and Raider Decks, replacing them with Reward Points and a 60 tier Reward Pass. Previous unlocks shift into a legacy track, allowing progression across both paths.
Players can unlock an Outpost base by completing an initial research project requiring a camera item. The base supports functional modules, a research bench, and 100 collectible furniture designs found topside or through quest milestones. Visual customization expands through 14 weapon stencils that apply patterns to firearms, though stenciled weapons remain lootable by rivals if a player falls in combat. Maximum player stash capacity expands to 328 inventory slots.
