Banana Pi has launched the BPI CM7, a compact compute module powered by the Allwinner H618 processor. The board packs 2GB of LPDDR4 memory, 32GB of eMMC storage, and onboard wireless connectivity into a 55 by 40 millimeter footprint. It connects to carrier boards through 2 high density connectors to expose a wide range of peripheral interfaces.
The BPI CM7 runs on an Allwinner H618 system on chip. This silicon features 4 Arm Cortex A53 central processing cores alongside an Arm Mali G31 graphics engine. Memory configurations include 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM soldered directly to the board, paired with 32GB of eMMC flash for local storage. Banana Pi also added 256B of EEPROM for storing basic hardware identifiers and configuration data.
Wireless communications rely on a Kertong K019 module built around the Infineon CYW43455 chip. This setup provides dual band Wi Fi 5 support with 1T1R antenna configuration alongside Bluetooth 5.1. The entire board measures 55 millimeters long and 40 millimeters wide. To link with baseboards, the bottom of the module houses 2 separate 100 Pin connectors. These pins carry signals for HDMI output, 100MbE networking, 1 USB 2.0 OTG port, 3 USB 2.0 Host ports, and microSD card connections.
