Elecom Launches DST L080BPBK Docking Station with Programmable Controls

Elecom has launched the DST L080BPBK docking station, combining standard port expansion with programmable desk controls. The compact accessory features 4 customizable buttons and a physical rotary dial to control media playback and video calls. It is currently available in Japan for 13728 yen, roughly $87.

The top panel includes a rotary knob and 4 physical buttons. Users map custom actions to these controls using the Elecom Mouse Assistant desktop application. The buttons can trigger volume adjustments, media playback commands, or shortcut functions for video conference software.

The hardware includes 2 USB Type A ports, 3 USB Type C ports, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card slot, a microSD slot, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Video output runs through an HDMI 2.1 port capable of delivering 4K video at 60 Hz. 1 of the USB Type C connections supports DisplayPort output for an external screen. A separate USB Type C port supports Power Delivery charging, taking in up to 100W and routing up to 90W directly to a laptop after powering the dock itself. The unit supports Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS 26+.
