Getac has officially announced the B360X and B360X Pro, expanding its lineup of fully rugged notebooks with Series 3 Intel Core Ultra processors and edge artificial intelligence capabilities. The hardware pairs a 1400 nit 14 inch outdoor display with certified military grade drop and water protection. According to details released on the official Getac portal, both models are scheduled to hit the market later this year.
Getac equips both laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors alongside integrated AI Boost neural processing. Units running the Intel Core Ultra X7 chip deliver up to 180 TOPS of total computing performance, enabling localized machine learning workflows without an active internet connection. The 14 inch WUXGA LumiBond screen produces 1400 nits of brightness for direct sunlight visibility. The capacitive touch panel responds accurately even when operators wear gloves or work in wet conditions.
The B360X Pro adds dedicated graphics hardware and expanded power options. Buyers can equip the Pro model with an optional NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell graphics chip to process heavy visual data in the field. It includes dual high capacity batteries straight from the factory and features a modular media bay that accepts either an optical DVD drive or a 3rd battery pack.
Both units carry IP66 water resistance alongside MIL STD 810H and MIL STD 461G military certifications. The reinforced chassis survives 6 foot drops while active. Security measures include TPM 2.0, a 5MP infrared camera for Windows Hello logins, a smart card reader, and software disk wipe utilities. Field technicians can configure up to 2 Thunderbolt 4 Type C ports, dedicated GPS with L1 and L5 bands, and hot swappable dual battery setups for uninterrupted operation.
Getac President James Hwang stressed the practical necessity of mobile computing power in isolated mission environments.
The true value of Artificial Intelligence is not realized in climate controlled server rooms, but at the absolute edge, where critical decisions shape our global safety, defence, and infrastructure.
