GIGABYTE has launched the AI TOP 100 B850, a dedicated prebuilt workstation designed for local artificial intelligence workloads. The desktop system runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor and supports either 1 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or 2 AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics cards. GIGABYTE built this machine specifically for developers running large language models without relying on cloud infrastructure.
GIGABYTE equips the system with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor cooled by a 240mm liquid AIO setup. The foundation is an AMD B850 motherboard featuring a 16+2+2 phase power delivery layout. The standard build includes 128GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB solid state drive, leaving room for expansion with 2 PCIe Gen5 slots.
A 1600W 80 PLUS Platinum power supply runs the internal components. Cooling relies on 2 140mm intake fans positioned at the front and 1 140mm exhaust fan at the rear to create a straight front to back airflow path. Networking options include 2 10GbE RJ45 ethernet ports alongside Wi Fi 7 support. The front panel also features a high speed USB C port capable of 20Gbps data transfer speeds.
Performance benchmarks shared by GIGABYTE show distinct strengths for both GPU configurations. The single RTX 5090 option delivers token generation speeds of 64.9 TPS when processing 32B parameter models. For heavier engineering tasks, the dual AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 configuration handles model inference for networks up to 235B parameters and supports model fine tuning on datasets up to 110B parameters.
