IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have confirmed that 007 First Light will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18 2027. The project reboots James Bond with an original origin story built specifically for the next generation console. Pre orders are live now across major digital and physical storefronts starting at $69.99.
IO Interactive showcased early builds of the game during recent industry presentations at gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show. These public tests demonstrated the game running directly on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware to collect player feedback. The studio is dedicating the remaining development cycle to system optimization, focusing on frame rates and visual fidelity ahead of the March launch.
The standard retail release sits alongside the Deluxe Edition priced at $69.99. Purchasing the Deluxe Edition grants access to the GoldenEye Suit along with 4 specific gadgets: the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun, and Gleaming Pen. It also provides 4 character outfits titled Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator. Amazon holds an exclusive Special Edition listing that includes the Classic Tuxedo. Players can place pre orders through the official Nintendo Store, Amazon, and select retail outlets.
