Newtech Introduces Ness1300 2-Bay Desktop NAS Powered by Intel Pentium G7400 and Windows Server IoT 2025

Japanese storage manufacturer Newtech announced the Ness1300, a compact two-bay desktop NAS device powered by an Intel Pentium Gold G7400 processor. The system runs Windows Server IoT 2025 for Storage Standard out of the box.

The unit measures 154 by 270 by 188 mm. Inside, it comes equipped with 8 GB of DDR5-4800 memory alongside a dedicated 240 GB M.2 PCIe SSD for operating system storage. For data redundancy across its two drive bays, Newtech uses its proprietary Kite hardware RAID 1 controller.

Physical connectivity on the Ness1300 includes standard RJ-45 Ethernet network ports, multiple USB Type-A ports, a VGA video output, and a legacy COM serial port. It also features a dedicated Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) interface to handle remote system management.
