QNAP has launched the Qu405 N150 8G, a 4 bay network attached storage unit powered by an Intel N150 quad core chip. The system features dual 2.5GbE network connections, 2 M.2 NVMe slots for cache or storage, and an HDMI 2.1 output for direct media playback. It is available on JD.com starting at 2599 yuan ($358 USD) for the diskless model.
The hardware runs an Intel N150 processor with 4 cores and 4 threads, capable of 4K video transcoding alongside Docker containers and virtual machines. QNAP ships the unit with 8GB of SODIMM DDR4 memory, which users can expand up to 16GB. The chassis measures 165 mm by 168 mm by 217 mm and weighs 2.15 kg.
Drive capacity relies on 4 SATA bays supporting both 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch drives. Inside the enclosure, 2 M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen 3 x1 slots provide space for high speed caching or dedicated solid state storage pools.
Physical connections include 2 2.5GbE ethernet ports, 2 USB A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, 1 USB C 3.2 Gen 2 port, and 1 HDMI 2.1 port. QNAP sells the standalone unit for 2599 yuan ($358 USD) with a 2 year standard warranty. A bundled package including 1 Seagate IronWolf 4TB hard drive retails for 3599 yuan ($496 USD).
