Samsung Galaxy S27 Pricing Leaks Reveal Higher Costs Across Ultra Models

Samsung is preparing price increases across its upcoming Galaxy S27 flagship lineup, with higher storage capacities taking the biggest hit. The flagship Galaxy S27 Ultra will start at $1399, while the top tier 1TB edition could approach $2000 due to rising component expenses. Supply chain leaks point to ongoing semiconductor pressures and a switch to premium LPDDR6 memory as the primary causes for the price hikes.

Industry insiders report that the base Galaxy S27 will see an increase of roughly $95 in South Korea. The larger financial jump appears on the Galaxy S27 Ultra models. The 256GB baseline configuration is expected to launch at $1399, reflecting a $100 jump over the previous generation $1299 price tag. Choosing the 512GB version could push the retail cost to $1549 or higher. For buyers targeting the 1TB edition, total costs could land very close to the $2000 mark.

Higher bill of materials expenses are driving this upward pricing shift. Persistent demand for artificial intelligence hardware has kept global silicon supply tight, driving up part procurement costs for smartphone makers. Samsung is also upgrading the Galaxy S27 Ultra to next generation LPDDR6 system memory. This new memory standard provides faster data bandwidth than the current LPDDR5X standard, but it commands a much higher manufacturing premium that gets passed directly to retail pricing.
