SanDisk CZ53C Automotive USB C Flash Drive Launches for Sentry Video Recording

SanDisk has introduced the CZ53C flash drive, a dedicated automotive storage solution built for vehicle sentry mode and dashcam recording. The low profile USB C drive delivers up to 1TB of capacity and withstands 40000 hours of continuous loop recording. Pricing begins in China at 499 yuan (about $69 USD) with 4 capacity tiers available.

The compact drive measures 18.5 by 13.6 by 16 millimeters and weighs approximately 3 grams. When inserted into a vehicle port, the body extends only 10 millimeters out to prevent snagging inside tight center consoles. SanDisk implemented a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface running at 5Gbps, reaching sequential read speeds of 400MB per second while write speeds are lower. Operating temperatures span from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, while storage tolerances range from minus 10 to 70 degrees Celsius to survive seasonal cabin climates.

SanDisk sells the CZ53C across 4 storage tiers with varying warranty coverage. The entry level 128GB version costs 499 yuan (about $69 USD) with a 2 year limited warranty. The 256GB model sells for 799 yuan (about $110 USD) and carries the same 2 year coverage. Stepping up to 512GB costs 1399 yuan (about $193 USD) and includes a 3 year warranty. The flagship 1TB model is priced at 2599 yuan (about $359 USD) and includes a 5 year limited warranty.
