SanDisk Guardian Series Delivers 40000 Hour Endurance for Dashcams and Security

SanDisk has launched the Guardian lineup of high endurance storage media designed for continuous loop recording in dashcams, home security setups, and automotive sentry systems. The product line includes 2 dedicated microSD cards alongside an ultra compact USB C drive built for vehicle monitoring. Base 32GB storage cards start at $28.99 with global retail rollouts underway.

According to an official SanDisk press release, standard memory cards often fail under the thermal and write stress of continuous recording. Susan Park, Vice President of Consumer Solutions at SanDisk, addressed this limitation directly.

Traditional storage products struggle to meet the demands of continuous recording in harsh environments, which is why we introduced the SanDisk Guardian series to give consumers more reliable around the clock performance.

The Guardian Dashcam microSD card targets high heat and humidity inside vehicles. It captures video from 1080p up to 4K resolution across storage sizes ranging from 32GB to 512GB. Internal stress tests confirm the top 512GB model handles up to 40,000 hours of uninterrupted video capture. A sister card, the Guardian Security Monitoring microSD, caters to outdoor smart cameras. This version adds dust and water resistance to keep local footage safe during Wi Fi network drops.
