Sandisk has released 2 high endurance solid state drives designed specifically for network attached storage systems. The launch introduces the NAS 600 SATA line alongside the ultra fast NAS 800 PCIe Gen5 series across multiple storage capacities. Both products are available in China now, with starting prices converting to roughly $360 USD for SATA and $555 USD for NVMe.
The Sandisk NAS 600 comes in a standard 2.5 inch 7mm form factor. Capacities range from 500GB to 4TB, supported by a mean time before failure rating of 2,250,000 hours and write endurance reaching 2500 TBW. The 500GB version sells for 2,599 yuan (about $360 USD), the 1TB model costs 3,999 yuan (about $555 USD), the 2TB edition is priced at 6,999 yuan (about $970 USD), and the 4TB tier costs 12,999 yuan (about $1800 USD).
The high performance Sandisk NAS 800 uses the compact M.2 2280 form factor on the PCIe Gen5 bus. Capacities span from 960GB up to 7.68TB. Performance peaks at sequential read speeds of 14.9GB per second and write speeds of 13.2GB per second on the 1.92TB model, while random throughput reaches 2,300,000 read IOPS and 2,000,000 write IOPS on the 3.84TB configuration. Total endurance on the 7.68TB unit reaches 14 PBW.
Pricing for the NVMe line begins at 3,999 yuan (about $555 USD) for 960GB. The 1.92TB model costs 7,999 yuan (about $1110 USD), the 3.84TB configuration sells for 13,999 yuan (about $1940 USD), and the high capacity 7.68TB edition costs 26,999 yuan (about $3740 USD).
