Sincere has launched a limited run portable CD player called the Pixel Tunes After Hours. The unit features a translucent smoky shell that glows green in the dark along with modern Bluetooth 5.3 wireless playback. The device is currently available in Japan for 12980 yen, which translates to roughly $82.
The physical build uses a semi transparent smoky plastic casing that emits a soft green light in dark environments. For disc playback stability, Sincere included an electronic skip protection system backed by a 60 second memory buffer to prevent audio stuttering while moving. The top housing contains a compact LCD screen for track information, standard physical playback buttons, and a rotary volume dial that also acts as the primary power switch when pressed.
Audio output options cover both wireless and wired setups. Users can pair wireless headphones or external speakers through a Bluetooth 5.3 connection, or plug in traditional wired gear via a 3.5 mm headphone port. The chassis also houses a pair of built in stereo speakers for direct listening without headphones. An internal lithium ion battery charges through a USB Type C port and delivers between 5 to 7 hours of continuous playback per charge cycle.
