StepFun has scheduled the official launch event for the StepX Neo, an AI centered smartphone built by former Microsoft engineers. The hardware runs a modified Android platform called Step AOS with deep integration for the Step Amoo assistant to handle multi step tasks autonomously. Full hardware specifications and retail pricing remain unconfirmed ahead of the event.
The device operates on Step AOS, an Android based operating system designed around the Step Amoo virtual assistant. Demonstrations show the system breaking single user requests into several steps and executing them across different applications without manual input. The system holds an L3 certification under Chinese national standards for intelligent hardware, confirming advanced autonomy in processing daily commands.
StepFun revealed minimal hardware details in its official teasers. The back panel features 2 cameras alongside a small secondary display reminiscent of designs from Nothing. StepFun plans to disclose the processor, battery capacity, complete specifications, and retail pricing during the official launch presentation.
