Both laptops carry an 18 inch IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The panels reach 500 nits of brightness and cover 100% of both sRGB and P3 color spaces. Variable refresh rates work through NVIDIA Optimus on both machines. The standard PRO 18 pushes refresh rates up to 300 Hz through a direct MUX connection to the dedicated graphics card, while the Value Edition caps its display output at 180 Hz.

XMG divides hardware power between the 2 models. The top tier PRO 18 runs on an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus with 24 cores reaching clock speeds of 5.5 GHz, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti carrying 12GB of GDDR7 memory. The PRO 18 VE uses a 20 core Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus reaching 5.3 GHz, matched with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. Both laptops accept up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and feature 2 M.2 solid state slots, one running on PCIe 5.0 and the other on PCIe 4.0, with support for RAID 0 and RAID 1 setups.

The physical chassis measures 400 by 291.5 by 26.5 millimeters. The standard PRO 18 weighs 2.9 kilograms, while the PRO 18 VE weighs 2.82 kilograms. Both models include a removable 99.8 Wh battery and a Full HD webcam featuring a physical privacy shutter and Windows Hello login support. Wireless networking relies on Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.

Physical port selection includes 1 USB4 port with DisplayPort 2.1 and 140W charging, 1 extra USB C port, 3 USB A ports, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 2.1, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack, and a full size SD card reader. Base configurations with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB solid state drive start at €3299 for the PRO 18 and €2849 for the PRO 18 VE across European markets.
