Elon Musk's xAI Unveils Grok 2, a Powerful New AI Model

Elon Musk's company, xAI, has introduced Grok 2, its latest AI model boasting significantly more computing power than GPT-4 Turbo and Amazon Claude. The platform features an early preview version of both Grok 2 and Grok 2-mini, both of which will be accessible to users of the X social network.
Grok 2 has already been put through its paces in an AI benchmark by the Large Model Systems Organization (LMSYS). The results? The model performs practically on par with OpenAI's GPT-4o. Currently, it ranks fourth overall, trailing only ChatGPT 4.0, GPT-4o, and Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro.
One of Grok 2's standout advantages is its enhanced image generation capabilities. Compared to other generators like Midjourney and DALL-E, it has fewer limitations, a fact that many users have already taken advantage of.
xAI has announced that Grok 2 and Grok 2-mini will be available to X Premium and Premium+ subscribers by the end of August 2024.
