Tencent and Intel Unveil Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Handheld

Tencent Games and Intel have collaborated on the Sunday Dragon 3D One, a glasses-free 3D gaming handheld with a Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 processor.

Tencent Games and Intel have partnered to introduce the Sunday Dragon 3D One, touted as the "world's first" glasses-free 3D gaming handheld. This experimental device aims to explore the potential of naked-eye 3D technology in gaming.

Hardware and Features

The Sunday Dragon 3D One boasts powerful hardware:

  • Processor: Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 258V
  • RAM: 32GB LPDDR5X
  • Storage: 1TB
  • Display: 11-inch, 120Hz, with real-time eye-tracking sensor for glasses-free 3D
  • Controllers: Detachable

Tencent has optimized games like Path of Exile, Blade & Soul, and Arena Breakout: Infinite for this 3D technology. It's currently unclear whether other games will support glasses-free 3D without developer intervention.

While not the first product with a glasses-free 3D display (Nubia's Pad 3D, for example, uses similar technology), the Sunday Dragon 3D One represents a notable push into the gaming handheld market.
