Kantar's Most Valuable Brands: Apple Retains Top Spot, AI Brands Make Their Mark
Research firm Kantar recently published its latest list of the world's most valuable brands, and the results are intriguing, to say the least. It is not one category they look at; they look at brands in general.
For a whopping fourth year in a row, Apple has claimed the top spot. The tech giant's estimated worth has gone up once again and is now at a staggering $1.3 trillion. That's some clout.
The Heavy Hitters: Who Else Made the Top.
Hard on the heels of Apple in this top 100 elite ranking are some names that are household. Google snagged the number two position, with Microsoft handily claiming third. Rounding out the top five are the e-commerce and tech behemoths, Amazon and NVIDIA.
But the real head-turner this year is the exponential growth of artificial intelligence-linked brands. BrandZ analysts, who work on the report, pointed out the striking trend. Example: OpenAI, the brains behind ChatGPT, burst onto the scene. It directly entered the list at number 60, with a value of a whopping $43.5 billion. What an entry.
A Milestone Year for Brands Globally
Kantar's report this year also marks a 20-year "anniversary" of a kind, and it came with some exciting news. Collectively, the world's top 100 brands reached an all-time high in total brand value. This figure grew by a whopping 29% from last year. This shows that the world market is gradually recovering, the analysts say.
