New RoboCop: Rogue City Action. "Unfinished Business" Gameplay Revealed
Good news, RoboCop fans. If you enjoyed Teyon's take on the legendary cyborg in RoboCop: Rogue City, you will be happy to learn that they are not done with him yet. IGN just dropped a substantial 13-minute gameplay video of "Unfinished Business," a wholly new standalone game within the RoboCop series.
What is Included in the New Footage
The video gives us a nice glimpse of what is in store, and it looks like a whole lot of old-school RoboCop action. We see our hero battling his way through hordes of mercenaries who are pretty confident they can whup him as he makes his way up the OmniTower. Good luck with that, dudes.
It seems Teyon might be upping the ante this time around. From what can be seen, players will be facing more armored foes than in the original game, which suggests a boost in difficulty. Buckle up for some serious battles.
A Glimpse into Murphy's Past
One of the more interesting bits is a playable flashback segment with Alex Murphy before he is transformed into RoboCop. The cool thing here is how health seems to work – Murphy just regenerates health automatically, like in Call of Duty, rather than having to grab health packs. It is a neat little variation for this part of the tale.
When You Can Play "Unfinished Business"
Mark your calendars. "Unfinished Business" drops on July 17th. The good news. You do not require the original RoboCop: Rogue City to play it since this one is completely standalone DLC.
It will drop on:
- PC
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X/S
It appears that Teyon is keen to catch the wave of success via the re-adaptation of old flicks, and this new RoboCop game seems like an excellent idea to keep the fans engaged.
