Xiaomi 2025 RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition Unveiled

Freshly unveiled by Xiaomi for the Chinese market, the 2025 RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition is a sight to behold. If one's on the hunt for an affordable laptop offering style with performance, one may just set eyes on this. The thin and light vibe is being heavily touted, with reports of a thickness of only 15.9 mm and a weight amounting to only 1.35 kg. That's light enough to hardly be felt in one's bag!

Underneath, powered by AMD Ryzen!

Xiaomi gives you a couple of choices of AMD Ryzen processors from the Rembrandt-R family when talking performance. You can take:

  • Ryzen 5 7535H (Radeon 660M graphics) or
  • Ryzen 7 7735H (a more powerful Radeon 680M graphics) if you're going to up the ante.

Both processors are based on the tried and tested Zen 3+ architecture. Regardless of your processor choice, you can bask in the harmony of a speedy 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM (6400 MT/s) and a 512 GB SSD, promising good multitasking performance with no clogs or delays.

Connectivity and Display: Everything You Need

Ports are not a worry anymore; RedmiBook 14 seems to be endowed with decent ports for connectivity:

  • A 3.5 mm audio jack for your headphones.
  • HDMI 2.1 is for connecting with the external displays.
  • USB 2.0 Type-A.
  • A much faster USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A.
  • And two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports.

The laptop sports a 14-inch Full HD display. Xiaomi claims it has 100% sRGB color space coverage, so expect good colors like in bright shades-good for browsing and all the way to creative work.

Battery and Cooling: Made to Last

The laptop houses a 56 Wh battery inside this slim build. Xiaomi seems a bit optimistic; it claims that the battery can give a playback time of 17.8 hours with a 1080p video. That's definitely a day and a half! In case it runs low on juice, its 68W adapter can charge it from 0% to 58% in just 31 minutes. Quite cool indeed!

To keep things cool all the while, Xiaomi mentioned an upgraded cooling system, named "hurricane." This is said to keep the laptop stable at 37W, which is helpful on extended workloads.

What Will Be The Price?

Pricing in China seems quite attractive:

  • The Ryzen 5 version sells for CNY 3,299 (around $450).
  • The Ryzen 7 version costs CNY 3,699 (approximately $500).

As for when we can expect launch announcements elsewhere, Xiaomi has not revealed any information about global pricing and availability, keeping us waiting for updates and announcements for now.
