New facts show that AMDs next-gen Zen 6 desktop chips, set to come out next year, might have very high boost clock speeds. It looks like these CPUs may go past 6 GHz, giving a big boost in speed from the Ryzen 9000 line.
We think that the Zen 6 plan will have a lot more cores than Zen 4, maybe up to 50% more. With more cores, we might see big jumps in core clock speeds too.
Back in March, news said Zen 6 desktop CPUs could reach up to 6 GHz boost clocks. YouTuber Moores Law Is Dead (MLID) now shares more, saying AMD aims for speeds way over 6 GHz for Zen 6.
MLID says his AMD inside sources talk about a boost target so insane he wont say a clear number. Yet, he did say its much more than 6.1 or 6.2 GHz.
Backing this, MLID points out that the Zen 6 team is the same one that made Zen 4, which hit a 5.7 GHz boost. With AMD using TSMCs new N2 tech, maybe the N2X kind, speeds like 6.5 GHz or more may be possible for Zen 6 CPUs.
Remember, these goals and rumors arent set in stone. The real chip specs might be different from what they first thought. Until AMD confirms it officially or we see more solid proof, take these Zen 6 speed reports carefully.
