This new handheld, known for being one of the first with the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chip, is set to come out on June 18, 2025. It was first shown at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in early 2025.
The big change is the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chip, which is way ahead of the G3X Gen 2 used in the old Pocket S model. Qualcomm says this new chip is about 25% better for graphics and 30% better for CPU tasks.
On top of the chip, the Pocket S2 has a few more cool parts. It has a bigger 6.3-inch IPS screen with a clear 2560 x 1440 resolution and can shine at 600 nits. The battery is also bigger, going from 6,000 mAh to 8,000 mAh.
Ayaneo worked on a better cooling system for the Pocket S2 to keep it running fast when playing hard games. For saving stuff, the top models have quick UFS 4.0 and are helped by fast LPDDR5X-8533 RAM.
It also has strong electromagnetic joysticks and a tough, CNC-machined metal frame. It will come in two colors.
While Ayaneo hasn't set a price yet, the Pocket S2 is expected to start at around $600.
