Gearbox Software just let us pre-order Borderlands 4. Many were waiting to know the price, and it looks like the game won't cost as much as some thought.

With the news about pre-orders, Gearbox also gave details on what kind of PC you need to play Borderlands 4. Check these out on Steam and Epic Games Store sites, or see them here with us too.

What you need for Borderlands 4 (Minimum Requirements)

  • OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (Needs 8 CPU Cores)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (Needs 8 GB VRAM)
  • Space: 100 GB (SSD needed)

For better playing (Recommended Specifications)

  • OS: Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (Needs 8+ CPU Cores)
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (Needs 12+ GB VRAM)
  • Space: 100 GB (SSD needed)

Note
The game includes DRM protections Denuvo and Symbiote, so expect some performance issues.

Borderlands 4 uses Unreal Engine 5, and the PC needs seem fair next to other new games. The game has the biggest, most open map in the series, where you can go anywhere you can see.

You can move in new ways too double jump, glide, dodge, and use a grapple. Like always, you can join and leave games with friends easily, and play across different platforms (but you'll need a SHiFT Account to team up across platforms).
