Borderlands 4 is set to launch at a normal price, not the $80 first thought. 2K and Gearbox Software have now opened pre-orders. They offer a few ways to buy the game, set to come out on September 12th for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Picking Your Borderlands 4 Game
You can choose from three main digital versions, but none will let you play early. Here’s a quick view:
- Standard Edition ($69.99): This gives you the base game. If you order early, you'll get the Gilded Glory Pack. It has special skins for a Vault Hunter, a weapon, and the ECHO-4 Drone. You can find this at the PlayStation and Xbox stores, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and other places.
- Deluxe Edition ($99.99): The big thing here is the Bounty Pack Bundle. This extra content (DLC) will come later, with new places, more tasks, and extra bosses. Vault Cards, new guns, and many skins are also in this pack.
- Super Deluxe Edition ($129.99): The best version has the Vault Hunter Pack. It includes two story packs that let you play as new characters, each with their own skills and ways to play. These packs also add new story parts and side tasks. Also, the Ornate Order Pack gives a set of Vault Hunter skins, heads, and bodies.
For True Borderlands Collectors: The ECHO-4 Bundle
If you are a big Borderlands fan and want physical things, check out the ECHO-4 Bundle for $150. Sold at GameStop, it is full of goods:
- A map of the world Kairos.
- An 8-inch ECHO-4 figure with LED lights.
- A necklace.
- Four art pieces.
- Five Golden Keys for game items.
Note: The ECHO-4 Bundle does not come with the Borderlands 4 game itself. So, fans who want both the game and these items will pay more.
This way of selling a collector's pack without the game is not common. It lets players get their game videos online right at launch and is not tied to one type of game machine. But, the full cost for a collector will be more. This plan, after talks about game prices before, might make fans talk a lot more.
