Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Teaser Future Setting Cross-Gen Release Milo Ventimiglia Co-op Campaign Details

Just when we thought the show was all over, they dropped a teaser for Call of Duty Black Ops 7. That's right, following up on Black Ops 6 from last year, we are back into the Black Ops universe, and this time - hold your horses - it's going to leap by decades into the future the game is set a good forty years after the last campaign's events.

Now the teaser was just that No juicy gameplay footage to drool over just yet. It more or less confirmed the Black Ops continuation. But here is one small interesting detail that wasn't really shouted from the rooftops in the trailer Call of Duty is sticking with a cross-gen release for at least another year. So if you're still rocking a PS4 or Xbox One, you're covered Off course, it's also headed to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

It would not be a modern Call of Duty without some kind of celebrity involvement, and Black Ops 7 is no different. Enter into the boots of David Mason, our protagonist, none other than Milo Ventimiglia. While the teaser kept under wraps most of the gameplay, it did emit hard energies that the campaign would be in line with the more fantastical things that we saw in Black Ops 6, less gritty realism, but more "embrace the madness," as Activision's own Tyler Bahl put it.

The statement further indicated that it would take us back and forth between the two Black Ops titles, which would quite possibly describe the creative exploration given the marketing shift from the '90s vibe to this new 2035 future setting.

Here's a cool bit of information dropped in the Xbox Wire post You will be able to play the entire campaign co-op And who is crafting that campaign experience The talented folks at Raven Software.

Black Ops 7 is being overall guided by Treyarch, with Raven at the lead on the single-player (or co-op) story. As is standard around Call of Duty, though, expect a whole army of Activision studios to be contributing to bring this monstrosity of a game to life.

This teaser is just the opening salvos. Activision is kitting itself out for quite a big marketing drive behind Black Ops 7. Bahl hinted that the complete reveal would be coming later this summer, and fans should keep an eye out for all the teases, clues, and surprises that the Black Ops series is well known for. Sounds like an exciting road ahead for the next big Call of Duty experience as we wait.
