Palworld Version 1.0 Release Schedule Global Launch Times Save File Compatibility And Legal Updates Regarding Nintendo Lawsuit

Palworld, the survival and creature collecting game, is ready to leave its Early Access period as soon as the long, anticipated 1.0 update starts. Pocketpair has announced the release plans for different time zones worldwide, dispelling weeks of guessing as to when the last build would be available. Per the official Palworld X, it will begin to roll out in midday Japan time, where the studio is situated.

For international audiences, the release schedule translates to Thursday evening for Western regions, followed by early Friday morning for European territories. Players located in the Pacific Time zone can access the update at 8:30 PM, while those on Eastern Time can log in at 11:30 PM. For European players, the software deployment is set for 4:30 AM British Summer Time and 5:30 AM Central European Summer Time. Australian players can expect the update to land at 1:30 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time.

A primary concern for the existing player base has been whether the full release would necessitate a complete wipe of progress. Pocketpair issued a statement to clarify that existing save files will remain functional after the transition, noting that the studio wants to respect the significant time and effort players have already invested in their worlds. However, the developers strongly advise starting a completely fresh character to experience the game under optimal conditions.

The reason for this one is simply the amount of mechanical changes that version 1.0 has brought. It has essentially had a complete overhaul of many of the core systems, such as completely different raid mechanics, a totally new set of materials and structures for the base building and a refreshed story, new zones, whole new ecosystems for the Wildlife Sanctuaries and a brand new fight for the Tower Bosses which determine the combat patterns and balance.

This landmark launch, meanwhile, comes while a lengthy legal battle has been dragging on with Nintendo. The platform holder has sued Pocketpair for patent infringement, alleging that the game's creature capturing mechanics infringe Nintendo's patent. As a result, the studio was forced to adapt its summoning system so that it was not infringing the patent. However, even in the midst of the court case, patent attorneys have said that Pocketpair has an ironclad case, and the studio is able to move ahead with its biggest launch plans.
