Looks like CD Projekt Red has thrown a juicy morsel of meat on X (formerly Twitter) that they might just be over at the State of Unreal 2025 presentation-and not empty handed.
To showcase some cutting-edge technologies, capabilities really, that are set to infuse life into the next Witcher game as well as in future endeavors. And quite frankly, when it comes to showing off technology, a picture - or in this case, actual game footage - is worth a thousand words. So, there is quite a possibility that we might get our first peek in-engine at what The Witcher IV is going to look like, and exciting, isn't it
We'll be coming together with @UnrealEngine to present during the State of Unreal.

Of course, if you're a PC gamer, then you've hit the infamous stuttering issues that have plagued many Unreal Engine 5 titles. That's a very annoying issue and one that CD Projekt Red is well aware of. They even talked about it in a presentation over the last year. Perhaps some of this "innovative technology" they're teasing tomorrow is meant to smooth out those performance hiccups Let's just hope It has become one of the biggest headaches in PC gaming lately, and any solution would be welcome news.
Even if we get a beautiful first glimpse of The Witcher IV tomorrow, don't expect the game to be in your hands for long. CD Projekt Red has already announced that at the earliest, the game will land on our screens in 2027. That's quite a few years from now.
That also gives developers sufficient time to craft a good story-one that may delve deeper into Ciri's role in the Witcher world, one fans of Andrzej Sapkowski's original novels know all about. It will be quite interesting to see how they loop in Ciri's story into the fabric of the next game.
For now, however, all eyes shall be trained on State of Unreal 2025 tomorrow. Fingers crossed for some memorable reveal
