Right after NVIDIA put out the new GeForce RTX 5050 for both desktops and laptops, GIGABYTE has shown its own special short-height style, named the GeForce RTX 5050 OC Low Profile 8G. This card fits well in small ITX systems, and has a unique three-fan cooling setup even though it's small.

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5050 OC Low Profile 8G graphics card

The GIGABYTE RTX 5050 OC Low Profile 8G is only 182mm long, 69mm wide, and 36mm tall, which makes it a double-slot card good for tiny builds. Even with its small size, close to the old RTX 3050 Low Profile from GIGABYTE, this new card comes with a three-fan cooling system.

The cooling system uses a made-for-this heatsink with a copper plate right on the GB207 GPU chip, with top-grade thermal gel. Copper heat pipes link to the aluminum heatsink to help heat move away faster, keeping the low-heat RTX 5050 cool.

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5050 OC Low Profile 8G should cost about what NVIDIA says the official MSRP should be, $249, for the RTX 5050 desktop kind. This card should come out in late July, right after the RTX 5050 desktop GPUs hit stores next month.

While this short-height card is made for small build makers, normal heatsink types for the RTX 5050 are also expected from other sellers.
