inZOI ModKit KRAFTON Release Epic Games Store Maya Blender Tools Contests Future Plans for Life Sim Game

KRAFTON has just put out the ModKit for its life sim game, inZOI. This update lets you get it from the Epic Games Store, and helps players make, build, and share their own stuff for the game.

The fresh ModKit has official tools for the 3D design apps Maya and Blender. It aims to make it easier for makers to make cool 3D stuff. After making them, these mods can be put up on CurseForge, run by Overwolf. It’s a big modding place, making it easy for others to get your mods.

This is just the first part of a three-part plan by KRAFTON from last month to boost inZOI's modding through the year. Along with the ModKit, this drop gives tools for making new outfits and furniture, and an editor to tweak game data.

September Update Will bring in modding for how characters look, building designs, and parts based on in-game acts.

December Update Will let players mold deeper by editing game scripts and using tools for translating the game.

To mark the launch and push for community action, KRAFTON will run two big contests this month

'Next Top Modder' Hackathon Together with CurseForge (June 19 - August 1), this race offers $11,000 and a shot for top mods to be an official part of the game. It includes Best Dress Set, Best Furniture Mod, and more.

'Every Style Starts with You' Outfit Contest With the 3D fashion site CONNECT (June 19 - August 1), this focuses on full outfit looks with up to $26,200 in rewards. It covers Ready-to-Wear, Fun & Playful, and Conceptual looks.

CEO CH Kim said about the update

"With the inZOI ModKit update, we’ve set the stage for players to drive the game’s story. We will keep updating the game based on what players say."

Right now, there are no plans to mix with Steam Workshop, but KRAFTON might think it over if a lot of people want it.
