the Official PlayStation Blog proceeded to enter some details about a brand new fighting Marvel game that seems very exciting Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls
One of the coolest things that Arc System Works aims for is bringing a game that almost everyone should be able to play. You know how there are team fighting video games that require nothing less than a PhD in combos when wanting to keep track in the game. But then, Kazuto Sekine-the Game Director and Lead Battle Designer-has given a comment that will probably make most of the people smiling. He said that, "Generally, a team VS fighting game requires the player to learn multiple characters, but for MARVEL Tōkon Fighting Souls, you only need to master one character in order to play the game."
How cool is that They were building the game making it possible for you to pull off cool moves by using traditional inputs in fighting games or simpler button presses. And you can bring your teammates in for support or joint attacks in just a few taps to create what they call a "new and exciting team VS battle experience." Sounds like they are really going for the fun thing across a broad spectrum
Everyone wants to know which Marvel heroes (and villains) are going to be having a go. Well, Takeshi Yamanaka, the Producer, shed some light here. The characters theyd be picking from were very much considered "the face of Marvel" and in such a way, they wanted to ensure that theres a good mix of fighting styles.
Theres also a cool little nugget there are going to be some great characters that have been in nothing but comic books but never playable in fighting games. This might produce some very fresh matchups
Better get your calendar ready, but itll take a while. Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls is scheduled for release in 2026. You will be able to get it on:
- PC via Steam and Epic Games Store
- PlayStation 5
This one definitely sounds like its going to be an interesting ride, particularly if you are into Marvel or just out looking for a fighting game that is a bit more casual friendly. What do you think
