Seagate has quietly dropped a bombshell-it has surfaced the very first 4TB Xbox Series X|S Expansion Card
Don't rush out yet, though, hoping to find it everywhere. It is available on Best Buy's website, and obviously, it comes with the comparably massive price of $429.99. So much so that it does not even have customer reviews yet, telling you how fresh this news is.
That really is the large question. Sure, if your Xbox digital library has bulging walls, and you have some serious cash to throw around, then absolutely, this dream could come true in a four-terabyte unit. Imagine: all those games ready to play, instantly
To be realistic, though, it is most likely a luxury for most of us. You can get much cheaper prices for the typical 512MB, 1TB and even the 2TB versions, especially during sales. Most of those sizes are usually sufficient for the average gamer.
Sure, it's great to have that huge option, but what most of us want is really that other company coming in to compete with the Xbox Expansion Card. It's practically a Seagate and WD Black show right now. Having an additional manufacturer in the mix could force the prices lower across the board, but honestly, that feels like a long shot at this point.
So, there you have it. There exists a 4TB Xbox Expansion Card. Yes, it is quite pricey, but then again, for those who want nothing but the utmost limit of storage, it is an option. What do you think? Is this something you'd consider?
