Now, you can buy the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet with a Paper-Like Screen
The TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus, an average-cost Android tablet with a special NXTPAPER 4.0 screen tech, is now out to buy. First seen at CES, it aims to give an anti-glare, paper-like view to help your eyes feel better.
The NXTPAPER 4.0 Screen
This tablet's key part is its 11.5-inch, 2200 x 1400 pixel IPS LCD screen. It has a 3:2 shape, a 120 Hz speed for updates, and shines up to 550 nits. TCL makes this by using a small matrix craft to cut the glass, making a paper-like feel, less shine, and less blue light.
It's key to say that NXTPAPER tech is not the same as E Ink. It does not use less power or keep a picture without power. Instead, TCL offers it as a way to cut eye pain and give a nicer view than usual LCD screens.
The tablet has a special NXTPAPER button too. Hitting this button swaps the screen from a "color paper" mode to a black and white "ink" mode. This button can also be set to act as a quick way to other uses.
