Xiaomi YU7 Electric Crossover Hits Big Demand After Full Details and Prices Come Out
Xiaomi has just put out its second electric car, the YU7 crossover, and right away, the market loved it. The firm also showed off all the tech details and prices for each model of this new car.
A Huge Market Start
The Xiaomi YU7, fighting head-to-head with the Tesla Model Y, has pulled in more interest than thought. Just three minutes after pre-orders started, they got 200,000 signs of interest. This jumped to around 289,000 in just one hour.
Xiaomi's boss Lei Jun thought the YU7 crossover would get three times more demand than the SU7 sedan, started in March 2024. The first numbers show he was right. To give an idea, the SU7 sedan got 50,000 pre-orders in 27 minutes.

Inside and Tech Bits
Beyond how fast it is, the YU7 has cool parts. A big digital screen is the main control. It also lets you unlock the car with UWB, working with things like the Xiaomi 15S Pro.
For rider comfort, the car has seats at the back that move with electric help, lean back a lot, and have a 10-point massage. The YU7 will be made in nine colors outside and four inside, but only green, red, and silver will be ready at first.

The new Xiaomi YU7’s price in China will be from 253,000 to 329,900 yuan, about $35,300 to $46,000 USD.
