Motorola Moto G96 5G Launches in India with High-End Features at a Budget Price
The Motorola Moto G96 5G is out in India, packed with high-end parts but easy on the wallet. This new phone comes with a curved 144Hz screen, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, a big 5,500 mAh battery, and is safe from water and dust with an IP68 score. All this starts at a great price: INR 17,999 ($230).
Key Changes and Specs
This phone is a step up from last year's Moto G85 5G. It brings better speed, longer battery life, and smoother screen action.
- Screen: It sports a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution. The refresh rate is up to 144Hz, more than last year's 120Hz. It's very bright at 1600 nits and has tough Gorilla Glass 5.
- Power: Runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. You can pick from 128GB or 256GB storage, but no extra card slot for more.
- Battery and Charge: The battery is bigger now at 5,500 mAh and it charges at 33W.
- Cameras: The back camera has a 50MP main sensor (Sony Lytia LYT-700C) with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. There's a 32MP front camera for selfies.
Software and Toughness
It runs Android 15. Motorola promises three big Android updates (up to Android 18) and four years of security fixes, lasting until 2029. It's got an IP68 rating, so it’s tough against dust and water.
Prices, Colors, and When You Can Buy
It comes in four colors: Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, Ashleigh Blue, and Dresden Blue.
