PlayStation Names New Wireless Fight Stick FlexStrike
After first calling it "Project Defiant" at a State of Play event, PlayStation has now named its new wireless fight stick FlexStrike. A new video shows what it can do, and the company says it will come out in 2026.
FlexStrike's Build and Tech
The FlexStrike is made for top-level play and to be set up as users like. Edwin Foo, a big boss at Sony, talks about its main features in a PlayStation Blog post.
- Linking Up: The fight stick works with PS5 and PC. It can link up without wires using PlayStation Link, Sony's fast tech, or with a USB-C wire.
- Parts: It has button switches made for sharp moves.
- Making it Yours: You can switch out gate parts with no tools. Square, circle, and octagon gates come with it and have their own spots in the stick.
- Handy Parts: The PS Link USB plug can also be kept in the stick. A DualSense controller can stay linked to make moving through menus easy.
Show at EVO 2025, Out in 2026
The FlexStrike will be at EVO 2025 just to show. People can see the fight stick and its case at the Arc System Works spot but can't try it. More news on when it will be out will come as 2026 gets close.
PlayStation's First Own Fight Stick
This is the first time PlayStation has made its own fight stick, a big move in its work with the fighting game world. Now, we'll see if FlexStrike can get fans who like other sticks and pads to switch over.
