RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet Now Open for All to Buy

The RedMagic Astra gaming tablet is now out for the whole world. First out in China as the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, the Astra aims to go head-to-head with the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 4, packing the strong Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in a small shape.

Key Points about the RedMagic Astra

The tablet has many parts made to give a top-notch gaming feel:

  • Screen: It boasts a small 9.06-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh speed and a 1504 x 2400 pixel look. Using an OLED screen is a big plus over the IPS screen on its Lenovo rival.
  • Speed and Cooling: The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip works with an active cooling setup. This includes a fan built in and a "13-layer ICE-X" build, made to keep things cool during tough gaming times.
  • Battery and Power: An 8,200 mAh battery runs the tool, with support for 80W quick charge. It has a bypass charge mode too, which lets the tablet run direct to cut heat and save the battery during games. RedMagic says it can go for up to 5.56 hours of top games or 33 hours of watching movies.
  • Game Extras: The Astra has a PC game emulator built in, dual X-axis motors for touch vibes, and a sound system boosted with DTS:X Ultra.

Costs and Sets

The RedMagic Astra comes in two sets for the world:

  • Basic Set: 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of space for $549.
  • Top Set: 24 GB of RAM with 1 TB of space for $699.

The tool is set to face off with other small, strong Android gaming tablets.
