First Big Update for Rematch Better Hits and New Control Setups

Sloclap put out a big update for their new football game, Rematch. It came a month after it first came out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This update was right after they were happy to see over 5 million people had played the game. They also said they want to fix things that players were talking about a lot.

Main Fixes In The Update

The update looks at two big areas that players talk about a lot.

Now You Can Change Controls

Players can now change how the controls are set on their gamepads. Sloclap said this first change is "quite simple" but they plan to add a way to make your own button combos in a later update.

Making Hit Detection Better

The main thing the update tried to make better was the game's hit detection. This problem has been there since the game first came out. The patch talks about many fixes just for this issue, like:

  • Goalkeepers not holding the ball right.
  • Players not acting right when they get tackled.

The many fixes show they are really trying to make the gameplay better.

What's Next Waiting for Playing Across Platforms

Even though the update fixed important stuff, it did not start letting players play across different platforms, which many have asked for. Sloclap says this should be ready by September.
