First Look at Exynos 2600 Shows What Might Be in Store for Galaxy S26
The first hint of Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip popped up in a Geekbench 6 test file. This chip, with model number S5E9965, might be made using Samsung's new 2nm GAA tech and could run the Galaxy S26 phone family next year.
What the Leak Shows
The test list, dropped by tipster @Jukanlosreve, gives us a peek into the chip's build and how it might run at this early stage.
- CPU Setup: The Exynos 2600 has a 10-core CPU put together in a '1 + 3 + 6' group. This setup is much like what MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 uses and suggests a design aimed at full power, made possible by the 2nm tech's promised good results.
- Speed and Results: It hit a top speed of 3.55GHz. The scores for single-core and multi-core are low now, which often happens with a chip still being worked on.
- Phone Memory: The test used a device with 12GB of RAM, hinting this might be what we see in the Galaxy S26 phones.
Looking Ahead
These first scores and speeds should be seen as part of the work in progress. The low numbers and capped speeds don't show what the final product will do. Samsung seems to be working on making more of its 2nm GAA tech, a method it thinks will be hot for some years.
With planned mass making of early versions in June and a finish goal for Q3, Samsung has time to better the chip. Expected results should rise a lot as the kit and its programs get better before the Galaxy S26 comes out.
