ROG Xbox Ally Handheld Prices Leaked in Europe

Cost info for the new ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and the stronger "X" type is now on the web. This came from an official ASUS partner shop in Spain. The info shows good prices for the two gaming handsets that use Windows.

Leaked European Price Details

The Spanish site 3D Juegos first saw this on the Asus Store by MacMan. They show these European prices:

  • ROG Xbox Ally (Base Model) €599 (about $650)
  • ROG Xbox Ally X (Top Model) €899 (about $975)

While we don't know U.S. prices yet, earlier leaks hinted they might be $499 and $799. These leaked prices put the tools in a strong spot in the handheld PC world.

Hardware Specifications and Design

The ROG Xbox Ally units, shown at the Xbox Games Event, are made with ASUS. They are like other ROG Ally gear. Key hardware points are:

  • Chips: The base type will have an AMD Ryzen Z2A chip, while the top 'X' type will use a stronger AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip for better game speeds.
  • Screen: Both types will have a 7-inch, 1080p/120Hz LCD screen that supports VRR. They did not go for OLED to keep cost, power use, and the need for VRR in check.
  • Design: Microsoft said these would have better handles than current ROG Ally ones.
  • System: They will run on Windows but will have a new full-screen setup to get to many game spots.

Release Window and Market Competition

They plan to put these out by Holiday 2025, but some think an October start could happen. The leak of real costs hints that ASUS and Microsoft might soon tell us more.

Yet, these tools are in a busy area. Some in the field doubt how well they'll do against easier systems and the fact they have no new games just for them. The ROG Xbox Ally will face the Steam Deck, the coming Nintendo Switch 2, and other Windows-based gaming handsets.
