Bolt Graphics Unveils Zeus GPU with Expandable Memory

The new start up, Bolt Graphics, has shown off its latest design, the Zeus. This new GPU is made for hard number-crunching work. Its big draw is that you can add more memory to it, which helps it beat rivals like the GeForce RTX 5090 in some tasks.

Expandable Memory and Core Specifications

The Zeus uses a mix of fixed memory and memory you can add yourself, with support for up to 384 GB total. This mix uses fixed LPDDR5X memory and memory in DDR5 laptop parts (SO-DIMMs) that you can change. You can pick from two or four SO-DIMM spots when you buy it.

More tech data:

  • Power Use: The card takes power from a single 8-pin PCIe part (120 W) and the PCI-Express bus (75 W), adding up to a max of 225 W.
  • Display Outs: It comes with DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b for showing images.

Performance Claims Against Competitors

Bolt Graphics says their tests show the Zeus is 10 times stronger than the GeForce RTX 5090 in some high-level tasks with ray tracing at 4K.

It should be said that this info comes right from the firm and no outside group has yet checked these facts.

Release Date and Pricing

Bolt Graphics plans to sell the Zeus in 2027. They haven't said how much it will cost yet.
