Cirrus7 Launches Nimbini v4 Pro Edition Mini PC, Leveled Up for Silent Operation

Cirrus7 has unveiled the Nimbini v4 Pro Edition, a tiny silent mini-PC. The latest models are built upon NUC 15 Pro motherboards, featuring a specialized semi-passive case that has cooling capabilities for midrange higher-mid-range CPUs from Intel`s Core Ultra 200H family, which include up to the Core Ultra 7 265H.

External Passive Cooling System

A major selling point for the Nimbini v4 Pro is that it makes use of passive cooling. The chassis itself works as a heatsink and has integrated radiator fins. For heavier configurations, Cirrus7 provides two upgrades to the chassis to add more fins and enhance cooling and silence.

Performance Configurations

The Nimbini v4 Pro can be built with a wide variety of components to match vastly different performance requirements.

CPU Options

The system can be fitted with a variety of CPU choices, including:

  • Core 3 100U
  • Core 5 210H
  • Core Ultra 5 225H
  • Core Ultra 7 240H
  • Core Ultra 7 255H
  • Core Ultra 7 265H

RAM and Storage

The mini PC supports up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 RAM (or up to 64 GB DDR5-4800). The only storage feature is an M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD slot with adding capacity options coming from 1 TB to 4 TB.

Connectivity and Ports

The ports on the Nimbini v4 Pro were therefore determined based on the NUC 15 Pro platform, ensuring that an abundant I/O set is available. This includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, two HDMI 2.0b outputs, and a 2.5 GbE network port. Wireless connectivity is via Wi-Fi 7 & Bluetooth 5.4 through the Intel BE201 card.

Customization, Warranty, and Pricing

Cirrus7 gives different options for customizing the units, which include a VESA mounting system and dust seals as an option. Customers can choose to receive either free Linux distributions such as Ubuntu or Mint pre-installed or paid licenses for Windows 11 Home or Pro. With respect to warranty coverage, the product can be purchased with either a standard 3-year warranty or a 5-year warranty.

Pricing for the Nimbini v4 Pro Edition starts from €728 for a base model with Core 3 100U CPU, 8 GB RAM, and 250 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD. Max configuration with Core Ultra 7 265H will cost around €3000. Estimated "best value" configuration with Core Ultra 7 255H, 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM, and 2 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD priced at €1485.
