EVO 2025 Big News in Fighting Games

EVO 2025 was the place where many fighting game updates came out. There were talks on new games like the next Virtua Fighter and new stuff for Tekken 8 among others.

New Virtua Fighter Game Play Shown

SEGA showed a one-minute clip of game play for its new Virtua Fighter game. The scene was a training area and it showed fast fight moves and strong hits.

This game is being made by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and was first talked about in late 2024. A first look was given at CES 2025. For now, fans can play Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. on PC and other play stations, as they wait for this new game, which won't be out for a few years.

More on Tekken 8 and a New Player

Bandai Namco shared new downloadable content for Tekken 8. Here's what will be new:

  • Armor King: Joining on October 13 for those with the Season 2 Pass, and October 16 for others.
  • Miary Zo: A new player from Madagascar, coming this winter.
  • Baobab Horizon: A new place to fight, coming with Miary Zo.

Omni-Man Joins Invincible VS

The new game Invincible VS, made by Quarter Up, will have Omni-Man to play. It's set to come out in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.

MARVEL Tokon Fighting Souls Gets a Beta

Arc System Works said there will be a beta test for MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls. Quick facts:

  • System: PlayStation 5
  • Dates: September 5th to 7th
  • Sign-Up: Now open at PlayStation.com

The beta will let you play six characters, join online games, watch as a viewer, and try a tutorial.
