Lords of the Fallen II Revealed with Cinematic Trailer at Gamescom 2025
CI Games officially announced Lords of the Fallen II during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025. The first cinematic trailer of the sequel was shown. The game is set for a 2026 launch on PC via the Epic Games Store and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. Wishlisting is now live on the platforms.
A Sequel Built on Community Feedback
Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, emphasized the commitment to its playerbase that grew to over 5.5 million players with the first title. He framed the sequel as an extension of what he called the "player-first" promise illustrated with the V2.0 update for the original.
"After selling over 2 million units and welcoming over 5.5 million Lampbearers into Lords of the Fallen, it’s clear our comeback was community-powered. With Lords of the Fallen II, we’re going further... This sequel is built on that same foundation."
Key Features Announced for Lords of the Fallen II
The initial features showcase an extension of the core mechanics heavily influenced by player feedback and powered by next-generation technology.
- Dual Worlds: Return to the parallel dimensions of the living and dead, with a further-reaching and far-more-terrifying exploration of the Umbral world.
- Full Co-op Progression: Experience the full campaign with a friend through online co-op from day one of launch.
- Player-First Design: Built straight from the community feedback, with features such as optional PvP and custom game modifiers.
- Visceral Combat: The charm of feeble execution burst through with unrefined gore on mature audiences.
- Unreal Engine 5: Maximal usage of Unreal Engine 5 for upgrading series' hallmark visuals and gameplay.
Gamescom Celebration and Special Sweepstakes
To celebrate the announcement, the development team is holding a "Tattoo Sanctum" at Gamescom 2025, where attendees can get done with free permanent or henna tattoos based on the new art from the franchise. Another special sweepstake, for those who could not be there, will award a canvas of The Scion by artist Maxime Taccardi painted using his own blood to highlight the game's grisly theme.
