Made by Google 2025 Everything About the Pixel 10 and the New Hardware Showcases
Google will unveil its latest hardware lineup during the Made by Google event today in New York. The presentation calls for a huge product refresh including the introduction of the new Pixel 10 smartphone series, an updated Pixel Watch, new Pixel Buds, and some very serious emphasis on integrated AI features.

Expectations for Hardware Announcements
The following are the hardware announcements that we foresee Google making based on rampant expectations and some official teases:
Google Pixel 10 Series
The new Pixel 10 smartphone series will be the star of the occasion. The following is expected:
- Google Pixel 10

- Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a
With the new phones, Google is expected to make updates to its wearable and audio products:
- Google Pixel Watch 4-The next-generation smartwatch is expected to be announced, possibly with new AI-enabled functionalities.
- Google Pixel Buds 2a-Update to the wireless earbuds, which are expected to improve audio quality as well as grant more AI integrations.
AI Focus and Special Guests
With artificial intelligence being another key focus of the event, Google will likely use this opportunity to demonstrate how its AI tools are on the front and back lines of integration across its new consumer hardware. The company also teased in video the ""special guests" for the occasion including Jimmy Fallon (who is anticipated to host), Steph Curry, Lando Norris, and the Jonas Brothers.
Made by Google 2025: Pixel 10, Gemini AI, and the Birth of a New Era in Hardware
In all, Google showcased a full range of new hardware at the Made by Google 2025 event, all performance-intensive with Gemini AI and the new Tensor G5 processor. The series included the Pixel 10 series, a redesigned foldable, Pixel Watch 4, and refreshed earbuds, all carrying heavy AI loads to fashion a more intuitive human experience.
The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL: Camera and AI in Focus
The entire Pixel 10 family is powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, which, according to Google, has a 34% faster CPU and 60% stronger TPU or Tensor Processing Unit than its predecessor. Built to run the latest on-device Gemini Nano models, the new silicon would allow the Pixel 10 series to boast of an impressive array of new AI features.
- Basic Pixel 10 upgrade: The base Pixel 10 is now getting a triple-camera system for the first time, a dedicated 5x telephoto lens, which until now was reserved for the Pro models.
- Pro model enhancements: Improvements to the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL include an improved 50MP wide sensor in conjunction with a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 100x Super Res digital zoom.
- Display: Display sizes remain the same as on the Pixel 9 series (6.3-inch for Pixel 10/10 Pro, 6.8-inch for 10 Pro XL), but now all models come with a new "actua" display that has a much higher brightness.
- PixelSnap Technology: Google has unveiled its version of MagSafe called "PixelSnap." This magnetic technology embedded in the phones is compatible with a new range of accessories including a Qi2 wireless charger, cases, and a ring stand.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold: A More Durable and Capable Foldable
Google's latest foldable has received several important upgrades in the direction of improvements in durability and design.
- Design and Durability: The Pixel 10 Pro Fold has been given a stronger hinge with no gear, thus allowing much thinner bezels; it has also achieved an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance for the first time.
- Displays: This phone now features an enlarged 6.4-inch cover display and an 8-inch main screen, with a brightness level advanced further from the previous generation.
- Performance: Like the rest of the lineup, it runs on the Tensor G5 chip powered with all the latest Gemini AI features.
- Camera System: The camera benefitted from possible enhancements with a 48MP ultra-wide lens and a 5x optical zoom telephoto lens.
- Prices: The Pixel 10 Pro Fold starts from $1,799.
Gemini AI: The Brains Behind the New Hardware
Gemini was the star of the show, new functions getting integrated throughout the entire Pixel ecosystem.
- Gemini Live with Visual Overlays: Now users can use the camera while on a Gemini Live conversation so that the AI can "see" what they view, guiding them further by marking items directly on their screens.
- Camera Coach: This is a feature that can give real-time AI tips on composition, lighting, and angles to help you improve your photos.
- Conversational Photo Editing: What users can do now is to simply tell Google Photos, or type what edits they would like done, like saying remove the background or increase brightness.
- Magic Cue: This is Google Now's evolved version; an ante-post AI feature that gives contextual suggestions within applications such as surfacing flight details when you're on a call with an airline.
- Voice Translate for Calls: On-the-fly voice translating during phone calls, with the added benefit of such translations sounding natural in each speaker's voice.
Pixel Journal: Google's AI Journaling App
Google introduced Pixel Journal, a new app for Pixel 10 devices that uses AI to suggest writing prompts based on your photos, locations, and activities. Entries can be locked for privacy, and the app provides insights into your writing habits over time.
Pixel Watch 4 and New Pixel Buds
Google's wearables also received significant updates.
- Pixel Watch 4: The new smartwatch is thicker, has better battery life, smaller bezels, and access to Gemini AI just by lifting your wrist.
- Pixel Buds 2a: Fully affordable A-Series earbuds have been upgraded with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Clear Calling AI for noise reduction and are hands-free with Gemini support. Price: $130.
- Pixel Buds Pro 2: The best earbuds get a new Gemini feature allowing users to answer or refuse calls via nodding or shaking their head.
Fitbit's New AI Health Coach
The new personal health coach powered by AI in the Fitbit app. Built with Gemini, it crafts customized workout and sleep plans through heartfelt discussions about a user's goal and by analyzing real-time data from the user's device. A preview will be released in October as part of Fitbit Premium.
