Samsung Unveils 8TB for Its 9100 PRO Gen5 SSD
Samsung has now announced an 8TB space model that will form part of the 9100 PRO consumer SSD series. The capacities will be in great demand for high-capacity utilization for data-rich applications, multitasking, and next-gen gaming on PCs, and consoles.
Peak Performance and Massive Capacity
The brand new 8TB 9100 PRO drives will undergo top-notch performance achievements, revisiting sequential read and write speeds up to 14,800MB/sec and 13,400MB/sec, respectively. Random performance is also an outstanding feature with the potential of 2,200K read IOPS and 2,600K write IOPS. This performance is very good for heavy-duty workloads.
Eight terabytes are enough capacity for users. This will store and cache a large library of applications and games. Samsung has mentioned that it can support holding approximately 80 popular PC games with an average size of 90.6GB.

Design, Compatibility, and Pricing
This 9100 PRO 8TB comes in two configurations, with normal M.2 and another featuring a built-in heatsink. While the new slim line is such that it measures 11.25mm for compatibility with a device like PlayStation 5, once again increasing the intended purpose of doing much better cooling.
8TB Samsung 9100 PRO is expected to be sold beginning in the mid-side of September 2021 for; $999 for the basic model and $1019 for the heatsink model.
