Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Lands on October 21 with a Distinct Malkavian Experience
Paradox and developer The Chinese Room, at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, announced that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will now be released on October 21, with further novel details on how players will experience the Malkavian vampire clan.
One Unique Malkavian Gameplay Approach
While players will control the protagonist of the game Phyre, it is confirmed Phyre is not a Malkavian. The Malkavian experience comes instead through a separate character that can be played: Fabien.
Fabien is an incorporeal detective that shares a mind with Phyre. During the times when Phyre sleeps, players will assume the control of Fabien, revisiting his old troubles in 1920s neo-noir Seattle. As a Malkavian, Fabien's perception of reality is shattered, presenting rather unusual challenges in distinguishing truth from lies in her struggle to solve a case.
DLC Unlocks More Clans Lasombra and Toreador
Details about the different game editions and their bonuses concerning DLC were shared. This includes:
- Shadows & Silk DLC: This unlocks 2 additional playable clans, Lasombra and Toreador.
- Santa Monica Memories Cosmetic Pack: Items inspired by the original game are included to decorate Phyre's apartment.
